Zultys MX Release 18 Series – Feature List

Consolidated new features and significant improvements from the official MX release notes for 18.0.4, 18.2.16, and 18.4.13.

Upgrade Path: Systems must be on 17.0.10 or later before moving to Release 18. Follow the documented multi-step path for older versions. Minimum ZAC version for 18.2+ is 9.0.36. MX Report 4.2.1.137+ is required for 18.2 systems. A publicly trusted certificate is required for Mobile ZAC.

Release 18.0.4 (April 2024)

Major platform release (32-bit → 64-bit OS and database upgrade). Requires 17.0.10. MX Administrator must be manually updated after the upgrade. Refer to the Release 18 Feature Manual for full details on the 64-bit transition, ZAC 9, Mobile ZAC, MFA, and related capabilities.

Notable Improvements

Call Center / Wallboard

• Web Wallboard maximum font size increased to 192 px
• New “Group calls outbound” widget source
• Edit mode disabled by default
• Agent presence set to Available on group login from a phone

Conferencing & Guest Access

• Improved guest web user client screen and layout (supports more webcams)
• Conference Start available for the full duration of the conference
• Better status information for invited participants (Join by Call)

Administration & Security

• HTTP homepage automatically redirects to HTTPS
• X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff header added
• Case-insensitive user logins
• Stronger web application password validation
• Configurable “Timeout for paged phones to connect”
• Default 0.0.0.0/0 Network Definition protected from editing
• Additional WebAdmin maintenance options (disk maintenance, database repair)

Voice & Other

• Ability to exclude users from Dial-by-Name directory (User Profile option)
• Voicemail and Fax usage/limits visible in ZAC and WebZAC
• Number List patterns can restrict by length (using #)
• Improved SIP interoperability with certain ITSPs
• Support for SIP URI without TO number in dial plan

Release 18.2.16 (November 2024)

Messaging, agent productivity, and Microsoft integration release. Minimum ZAC 9.0.36. MX Report 4.2.1.137+ required.

New Features

• Inbound MMS to Call Groups (PE-204) – Operator, ACD, and ICC agents can send and receive MMS (images, video, files) during SMS or web chat conversations.
• Outbound SMS in an Agent Role (PE-203) – Agents can initiate outbound SMS from their group role.
• User Profile SMS Sender Number Options (PE-206) – Custom sender number at the User Profile level so multiple users can send from a shared company/site/department number.
• Routing of Unassociated SMS (PE-205) – Catch-all routing for unsolicited SMS sent to shared numbers (previously discarded) to a designated Call Group.
• Zultys for Outlook Add-in (PE-208) – Schedule and manage MX conferences directly inside Microsoft Outlook.
• ZAC for Teams Add-on (PE-207) – Full ZAC experience inside a Microsoft Teams tab (calls, messaging, conferencing, etc.).

Notable Improvements

• Distributed Agents can park and pick up calls when Enhanced Park is configured.
• Improved STOP confirmation message for SMS.
• SMS file usage now visible in MX Administrator.
• Duplicate email address checking for MXnetwork user configurations.
• Improved MX Administrator performance on systems with large numbers of users.
• Refined guest user interface for joining conferences.

Release 18.4.13 (April 2026)

Stability, performance, WebZAC SAML, and contact/department enhancements. Builds on 18.2.16.

Key Improvements

• WebZAC Single Sign-On (SAML) – WebZAC supports SAML SSO when connected to MX 18.4 or later (see MS Entra ID SAML Single Sign On Manual).
• SMS Opt-in / Opt-out / Help Message Customization (MX-10863) – Ability to customize these messages (requires Zultys Technical Support assistance). Patch also available for 18.0.4 and 18.2.16.
• Call Recording Viewer Enhancements – Sorting on additional columns; User and Direction filters.
• MX Administrator Performance – Faster when managing large numbers of Call Groups across an MXnetwork.
• Auto Attendant Configuration – Reduced time to apply AA schedule and script changes.
• ZAC Contact & Department Improvements
  • Department descriptions displayed in multiple areas
  • Filter Call Groups and system services in Contacts
  • Filter by Department in Contacts
  • Sort Contacts by Presence (Available first)
  • Call information shown in My Info tab when number matches

Stability focus: 18.4.13 resolves numerous unexpected-restart conditions related to heavy call load, large numbers of mobile devices, Call Group changes, MXreport activity, screen sharing, and other scenarios. It also fixes a range of WebZAC SMS/chat session display and navigation issues.
